Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Supervision: Continuous monitoring of the IT infrastructure (servers, networks, applications, storage solutions) using modern tools like [Zabbix, Grafana,…].

  • Issue Detection and Assessment: Identifying anomalies, errors, or warning messages and quickly assessing their urgency (e.g., prioritization according to SLA).

  • Incident Management:

    • Conducting initial troubleshooting and resolving straightforward issues (e.g., restarting services, checking connectivity issues).

    • Logging all relevant information regarding incidents in a ticketing system (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).

    • Escalating complex issues to the appropriate technical teams (L2 or L3 Support).

  • Communication:

    • Promptly notifying affected departments or stakeholders in case of critical incidents.

    • Providing clear and reliable communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding the current status of incidents.

  • Maintenance and Updates: Assisting in the maintenance of monitoring systems, such as updating system data or adding new monitoring areas.



Skills

  • First points of contact and experience in the field of computer science or comparable qualifications

  • Basic experience in the field of monitoring, IT automation and/or IT operations

  • Practical knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Golang, Bash or others

  • Basic Experience in server and network administration

  • Experience in using ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow)

  • Good knowledge of data transformation and visualization (e.g. with Grafana) would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Icinga, Prometheus or PRTG would be desirable

  • Analytical thinking, a systematic, independent, and responsible working approach

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Business fluent in English, both written and spoken
