SOCIAL WORKER at the Alternative Learning Centre for Young People

General information

The All Saints Family Support Centre is a non-governmental organisation (religious community) working in the social field since 2004. Its activities are organised on the basis of the principles of the social teaching of the Catholic Church.

The All Saints Family Support Centre has a children's day care centre offering social services and employment for children aged 6 to 18 years, five days a week.

Nature of work

• Providing group counselling for children and young people and people in their immediate environment
• mediate between the young person and various institutions
• To train and assist children and young people in their daily activities (cooking, managing the youth home, managing finances, finding a job, etc.)
• Cooperate with other organisations (educational institutions, youth centres, government agencies, etc.)
• Mobilize, train, support volunteers in their activities
• Project writing experience an advantage

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in social work (may be a final year student).
• Knowledge and experience in working with children and young people.
• Ability to work as part of a team, empathy, communication and cooperation, ability to deal with conflict or crisis situations.
• Willingness to learn and develop as a professional and as a person

• Salary after probationary period: €650 per hand.
