The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as STT) is the main anti-corruption institution in Lithuania, reporting to the President and the Seimas. The activities of the STT cover four areas - investigation of corruption crimes, prevention of corruption, analytical anti-corruption intelligence and anti-corruption awareness raising. STT also monitors the implementation of the National Corruption Prevention Agenda 2022-2033, which is important for Lithuania. STT officials, who are held to the highest standards of morality and transparency, work to curb corruption and strengthen transparency in Lithuania and abroad.

Applicants for the STT must be at least 18 years of age, but not older than 60, citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, of good repute, proficient in the official language, with a university degree, and suitable for the specific post in terms of education, intellect, personal and moral qualities, professional training and health. Depending on the position applied for, there may be specific requirements in terms of specific knowledge, knowledge of foreign languages, professional training or experience. The Service places great emphasis on the motivation, willingness to work for the country and critical thinking of candidates.
Currently, STT is offering positions as an officer of the Asset Search Unit of the Investigation Coordination Board, an officer of the Tactical Analysis Unit of the Anti-Corruption Intelligence Board, an officer of the Asset Search Unit of the Investigation Coordination Board, an officer of the Tactical Analysis Unit of the Anti-Corruption Intelligence Board, an officer of the Anti-Corruption Education Unit, an officer of the Pre-trial Investigation Unit in Panevėžys, a systems network administrator, a .NET programmer, an ORACLE database administrator. Similarly, STT could also recruit students for internships through a similar selection process in the Pre-Trial Investigation Unit, the Communication Unit or the Tactical Analysis Unit of the Anti-Corruption Intelligence Directorate. The main anti-corruption institution in Lithuania also participates in a mentoring programme, which can give students the opportunity to get a closer look at the work of STT. During the mentoring process, a mentor is assigned according to the field of activity, often studies, of interest, is given certain tasks to perform, and communication is established with the student.
