The aim of Vilnius City Municipality Administration (VCMA) is to create a smooth Vilnius: to help Vilnius residents and visitors live more comfortably and better, to get the services and information they need, and to be served quickly and efficiently. More than 30 departments – from communication and education to infrastructure and finance – that's how many career paths await you at VCMA.
What positions are currently available?
At VCMA, the career steps start with the position of trainee. Since the organisation is so large and the opportunities are numerous, there are a wide range of professionals working in different roles, from service technician to mayor.
What career opportunities exist in your company?
VCMA encourages colleagues to continuously improve their skills: to participate in trainings, refresher courses and to learn best practices from others. It is normal for colleagues to "outgrow" their positions over time, so they may be offered a couple of paths: to grow vertically and move up the ranks, or to follow a horizontal career path by moving to another department.
Some long-standing colleagues started their VCMA history from the trainee chair, while others are happy to find their new colours in other departments.

Starting your career at VCMA is worth it, because the work there is:
Meaningful: you can contribute directly to making the daily lives of Vilnius residents better and more comfortable.
Interesting: you get an insider's view of the smooth functioning of a city of 100,000.
Educational: you can learn from a wide range of professionals from different fields, with an outstanding diversity of competences.
Connecting: the administration alone has more than 1,000 employees, with a further 30,000 people working in its subordinate companies and institutions.
Caring: VCMA is one of the most modern public sector organisations in Lithuania, which cares about its team and strives to provide modern, motivating working conditions.
